OSSC Junior Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Prelims Exam Date (Out), Hall Ticket, Rejection List

The OSSC Junior Stenographer Final Answer Key has been released on the official website for the Computer Skill Test held on 26th June 2025. Candidates can download the Final Answer Key till 13th July 2025 on the official website. Earlier, the OSSC Junior Stenographer Exam Date 2025 for the Preliminary examination was released. The examination will be conducted on 27th July 2025 (Advt No. 1744/OSSC). 

Previously, a new notification was released for 2025 cycle announcing 67 vacancies for the post of Junior Stenographer, 5 vacancies for Junior Grade Typist and 2 for typist cum scribe assistant. The application window is open from 4th April till 3rd May 2025. Candidates can download the official notification PDF from the official website or they can also download it from the link given below.

• Candidates had applied online between 13th November 2024 to 15th December 2024
• The selection is based on the candidate's performance in the prelims, mains, and skill test, followed by certificate verification.
• The candidates who will be finally selected for Odisha Junior Stenographer post will receive salary in the pay scale of  Rs 25,500 and Rs 81,100.

OSSC Junior Stenographer Selection Process 2025

The selection of candidates for the OSSC Junior Stenographer post includes a Prelims, Mains, Skill Test, and Certificate Verification. Details of the same are discussed below.

Prelims

It is an objective-type exam for 150 marks. Candidates who qualify the same will only be eligible for the mains exam. The prelims is only qualifying in nature. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks of the Mains and Skill Test.

Mains

The Mains Exam carries a weightage of 100 marks. It assesses the candidate's knowledge of English and Odia languages. Candidates need to qualify this stage to be eligible for the skill test.

Skill Test

This stage includes a Computer Skill Test for 50 marks and a Stenography Test for 50 Marks (Typing Test for Typist). The Stenography Test involves the following:'

• Dictation in English for 5 minutes approximately @ 70 words per minute to be transcripted on Computer within 25 minutes.
• Dictation in Odia for 5 minutes approximately @ 70 words per minute to be transcripted on Computer within 35 minutes.

OSSC Junior Stenographer Eligibility 2025 

The candidates can apply online only if they satisfy the OSSC Junior Stenographer eligibility criteria defined in terms of age, qualification, and nationality.

• The applicants must have passed class 12th from a recognized board of education.
• The age of the applicants must not exceed 38 years.
• For the post of Junior Grade Typist, 10th-pass candidates between 18-38 years of age can apply.
