Given:

A can finish the work in 18 days.

B can finish the work in 15 days.

B worked for 10 days and then left the job.

Formula used:

Efficiency = Work ÷ Time

Work done by B = B's efficiency × Time worked

Remaining work = Total work - Work done by B

Time taken by A = Remaining work ÷ A's efficiency

Calculations:

Let's assume the total work is 90 units (LCM of 18 and 15).

Efficiency of A = 90 ÷ 18 = 5 units per day

Efficiency of B = 90 ÷ 15 = 6 units per day

Work done by B in 10 days = 6 × 10 = 60 units

Remaining work = 90 - 60 = 30 units

Time taken by A to complete the remaining work = 30 ÷ 5 = 6 days

∴ A will complete the remaining work in 6 days.
