Given:

1/2 of 3842 + 15% of x = 2449

Concept used:

Follow the BODMAS rule according to the table given below:

Calculation:

⇒ \(1\over2\) × 3842 + \(\dfrac{15}{100}\) × x = 2449

⇒ 1921 + \(\dfrac{3x}{20}\) = 2449

⇒ 3x = (2449 - 1921)20

⇒ 3x = 528 × 20

⇒ 3x = 10560

⇒ x = 3520

∴ The value of x is 3520.
