Download Solution PDFIn a forest there are some Tigers and Peacocks. The total number of heads is 90 and the total number of legs is 240. Find the total no. of Tigers and total number of Peacocks in the forest i.e. (Tigers, Peacocks)
Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFLet the number of Peacocks in the forest is x, then number of tigers = 90 - x
According to the question,
x × 2 + 4(90 - x) = 240
⇒ 2x + 360 - 4x =240
⇒ 2x = 120
⇒ x = 60
∴ The number of Peacocks in the forest = 60
And number of tigers in the forest = 90 - 60 = 30.
