Calculation:

Let the number be X.

We know that: dividend= divisor × quotient + remainder

∵ When divided by 893, it leaves a remainder of 193,

∴ X = 893q + 193 [Where, q is a positive integer]

This can be rewritten as-

⇒ X = 47 × 19 × q + (47 × 4 + 5)

⇒ X = 47 × (19q + 4) + 5

∴ When X is divided by 47, the remainder will be 5.
