Which is not the cause of delinquency?

A social problem is an undesirable condition or situation that is judged by a majority of the people within a community to be intolerable and to require group action towards constructive reform. Examples are juvenile delinquency, drug addiction, crime, prostitution, divorce, chronic unemployment, poverty, and mental illness.

Delinquent Child or Juvenile Delinquency: Juvenile Delinquency has been defined as “some form of antisocial behavior involving personal and social disorganization”. It is a form of conduct that goes against the norms and laws of society and that tends to affect people adversely.

Characteristics of delinquency children:

• Uncontrollable by his parents or guardians because of being wayward or by being habitually disobedient
• Habitually plays truant from school
• Lives without ostensible means of subsistence
• Habitually behaves in such a way as to endanger the morale or health of himself/herself.
