CUET Mode of Examination
The CUET exam is conducted in online mode. Thus students won't get any question paper to carry out of the exam centre after the exam completion.
CUET UG Medium of Examination

CUET Question Paper Pattern 2025
The exam will have Objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be 50 questions for each test papers. All Question are compulsory.
CUET UG Subjects 2025
The CUET exam for undergraduate courses is conducted for 37 subjects that include 13 languages and 23 main subjects like Biology, Physics, Maths, Geography, etc. A full list of subjects is available in Appendix II of the official notification.
CUET Exam Duration for PwBD Candidates
Each test paper will be of 60 minutes. Candidates with PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) will get an extra 20 minutes per hour as compensatory time.
CUET Exam Pattern 2025 Changes
According to news sources, the NTA has introduced certain changes in the CUET Exam Pattern 2025. An official notice regarding the same is expected soon. These changes have been suggested based on the analysis of the past three years' papers. An overview of the revised CUET Exam Pattern is given below.:
- The total number of subjects has been reduced to 37.
- Candidates can now opt for only 5 domain subjects.
- The number of subject options available to choose as domain subjects has been reduced to 29.
- The exam will be held online only.
- The exam duration will be 1 hour for each paper.
CUET Exam Pattern Details
The CUET Exam Pattern 2025 consists of four components, with questions in each section based on the applicant's chosen domain. Below is a detailed breakdown of the CUET Pattern, divided into different sections.
Section IA of CUET
- The Language Test is included in Section IA. There are 13 distinct languages.
- Each language in CUET paper pattern Section IA contains 50 questions, 40 of which must be answered.
- Section IA can be taken in any of these languages chosen by the test taker.
- Reading Comprehension is used to assess linguistic skills in the CUET language test.
- Reading comprehension questions in CUET IA Section may include RC on passages, Factual RCs, Literary and Narrative RCs, or Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary.
- The length of the IA Section of CUET is 45 minutes per language.
Section IB of CUET
- Section IB of CUET includes Special Languages Tests. (The languages excluded from CUET Section IA)
- In the CUET IB Section, certain Factual RCs, Literary and Narrative RCs, or Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary RCs may be asked.
- Section IB will include 50 questions, of which 40 should be tried.
- Language is examined in the CUET Special Languages Tests through several forms of Reading Comprehension.
- Section IB of the CUET takes 45 minutes to complete.
Section II of CUET UG
- Section II of CUET deals with Domain-Specific Subjects examinations.
- Section II of CUET has 27 Domain-Specific Subjects.
- Section II of the CUET will consist of 50 questions.
- Candidates may choose from any of the six domains.
- The examinee must respond to 40 questions.
- The questions are drawn from the NCERT Class XII curriculum.
- The questions are objective in nature.
- For MCQ-based questions, input text can be utilized.
- Section II of the CUET lasts 45 minutes for each domain.
Section III of CUET
- Section III of the CUET is a General Test that applicants may or may not choose to attend.
- Section III of the CUET lasts one hour.
- This portion consists of 75 questions, with candidates answering 60 of them.
- In this Section III of the CUET, questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, and Statistics are taught until Class 8 Logical and Analytical Reasoning are asked.

CUET Marking Scheme 2025
Candidates must select one correct answer for each question. If any issue arises after the key verification process, it will be handled as follows:

CUET (UG) 2025 - NTA Score Calculation
- For multi-shift exams, raw marks obtained by candidates in different shifts will be converted into the NTA Score.
- The detailed process for calculating the NTA Score is available on the NTA Website and in Appendix VI of the Information Bulletin.
- The NTA Score for CUET (UG) 2025 is only valid for admissions in the 2025-26 academic year.
Re-Evaluation / Re-Checking of Results
- The final result will be based on the Final Answer Key.
- No complaints regarding answer keys will be accepted after the results are declared.
- Marks obtained by candidates will be used to compute the final result.
- No re-evaluation or re-checking of the result will be allowed.
- No scorecards will be sent by post. Candidates must download their scorecards from the official website: cuet.nta.nic.in.
