Kerala PSC KAS Selection Process 2025

Candidates will have 90 minutes per paper, and the questions will be multiple-choice (MCQ) based. Paper 1 covers General Studies, while Paper 2 includes General Studies, Language Proficiency (Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada), and English Proficiency.

Mains Exam

The Kerala PSC KAS Mains Exam is a descriptive (written) test consisting of three papers, each carrying 100 marks, totaling 300 marks. Candidates will get 2 hours for each paper. The medium of the exam will be English or Malayalam, and it will test analytical and writing skills.

Interview

For Stream I:

Educational Qualifications

All the candidates applying for the Kerala PSC KAS Recruitment 2025 must have obtained a Bachelor Degree including a professional course in any subject from a University recognized by Government of Kerala or UGC or awarded by National Institutes established by the Government of India.

Other Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be a citizen of India.
• There should be no criminal records against the candidates in any law/court throughout the country. 
• Candidates applying for stream 2 must be a Full Member or an approved probationer in any Government Department and must not be a First Gazetted Officer or above in the Departments in Schedule-I of KAS Special Rule 2018.
