The responses taken on those tools constitute the basic data that are analyzed to study human experiences, mental processes and behaviours.

Freud	Sigmund Freud is the father of the Psychoanalytic Approach. His focus was on unconscious libidinal energy to describe the present state of a person. He gave layers of consciousness (conscious, preconscious, and unconscious). He assumed that majority of human behaviours are triggered by unconscious motivation.
Maslow	As a leader of humanistic psychology, Abraham Maslow approached the study of personality by focusing on subjective experiences, free will, and the innate drive toward self-actualization. Maslow's hierarchy of needs ranks human needs from the most basic physical needs to the most advanced needs of self-actualization.
Rogers	Carl Rogers is the father of the Humanistic approach. It assumes that a person is an active and self-actualizing agent and has a choice in deciding his behaviour. Rogers believed that humans are constantly reacting to stimuli with their subjective reality ( phenomenal field ).
Arthur Combs	Similar, to other humanist leaders, he described health as a process rather than an outcome. He contended that self-actualized individuals perceive themselves as “liked, wanted, acceptable, able persons of dignity and integrity”

Thus, Sigmund Freud is the psychologist who supported psychoanalytic theory, not the humanistic theory, even though the humanistic theory has some references to his theory.
