The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) conducts the Actuarial Common Entrance Test for enrollment of candidates in IAI with student membership. The Actuarial Common Entrance Test is applicable to the candidates who plan to enroll as student members of the Institute of Actuaries of India and wish to take actuarial examinations. Candidates appearing for the ACET Exam should meet the ACET eligibility criteria to have the rewards later.

  • Candidates not meeting the ACET exam eligibility will be disqualified even if they clear the exam with the most glorious score.
  • The candidates must note that those who are opting for the Non-ACET route of admission need not satisfy the particular criteria mentioned in this article.
  • The IAI also offers an option of home proctored format, for which the candidates are required to satisfy the technical specifications of their system as well.

ACET Eligibility Criteria 2022

The candidates who have opted for admission through ACET entrance exam need to satisfy the below-given eligibility criteria. 

ACET Educational Qualifications

  • The institute had updated the requirements for participation in ACET 2022's December session. Students may enroll and appear for the exam if they have passed the 10+2 standard exam or a higer qualification/ exam.
  • Candidates with schooling beyond the 10+2 level (exp. Diploma) are also eligible to take the ACET 2022 exam. Professionals who are currently employed may also apply.
  • Candidates who have taken mathematics as one of their higher education disciplines are also eligible to apply. As a result, this exam may be taken by engineering students, Corporate Secretaries, CAs, Cost Accountants, management graduates, etc.

Age Limit Criteria

There is no maximum age limit or lower age limit for ACET exam eligibility. For the ACET 2022 exam, candidates of all ages are welcome. However, there are other prerequisites that must be met before applying for the exam.

Number of Attempts

The exam is conducted twice a year. Candidates can appear for the exam unlimited times. There is no limit on the number of attempts for ACET.

ACET Exam Nationality Criterion

All the candidates having Indian nationality are eligible to sit for the exam. However, the candidates must have with them valid proof of their citizenship of India.

ACET Eligibility Criteria for Foreign/NRI Students

Foreign or NRI candidates are not eligible to appear for the ACET exam. Only Indian residents can appear for the exam.

Major Changes in the ACET Eligibility Criteria 2022

Due to COVID-19, an option of opting the ACET through Home Based Online mode is also made available. The technical eligibility criteria for the same is as following:

ACET 2022 Reservation

The ACET Exam does not reserve seats for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and other classes. All the candidates are treated equally here and selection is done on the candidate's hard work and wisdom.

ACET 2022 – Eligibility Criteria For Improvement Exam 

There is no improvement exam for the ACET exam. In case a candidate fails to clear the ACET exam, he can apply again for the next ACET exam. The candidate must ensure he is eligible for the exam according to the examination eligibility guidelines.

Documents Required for ACET 2022

The candidates are required to have certain documents on hand while filling out the ACET 2022 application form. The list of documentation required for an ACET application form for 2022 is listed below:

There is no different criteria for droppers, they can appear in the ACET exam if they fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

The candidate can apply for the ACET exam as many times as he satisfies the eligibility criteria laid by the Authorities.

The ACET is open only for the Indian candidates.

The candidates must ensure they have Windows 10 installed on their laptops to be eligible for the ACET home-based exam.
