A Constitution is a living entity with its own soul and consciousness. It was adopted on 26th November, 1949 and came into force on 26th January, 1950. The Constitution is the supreme law of land that lays down the framework of governance and defines the rights, powers and duties of the government and the citizens of the country. It is a set of fundamental principles or precedents of a particular entity which helps in understanding how it is supposed to be governed. It is a structure that the government must follow, and so do the common man.
