- ഇന്ത്യയിലെ അവസാനത്തെ മുഗള് ചക്രവര്‍ത്തിയായിരുന്നു ബഹാദൂര്‍ ഷാ രണ്ടാമന്‍.
- 19-ആമത് മുഗള് ചക്രവര്‍ത്തിയായി അദ്ദേഹം സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു.
- 1837 മുതല്‍ 1857 വരെ അദ്ദേഹം മുഗള് സാമ്രാജ്യം ഭരിച്ചു.
- 1857 ലെ കലാപത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ പരമാധികാരിയാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
- 1858 ലെ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ആക്രമണം കാരണം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ റംഗൂണിലേക്ക്(മ്യാന്‍മാര്‍) നാടുകടത്തി.
- 1862 ല്‍ റംഗൂണില്‍ വച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം മരണമടഞ്ഞു. .
- ബഹാദൂര്‍ ഷാ രണ്ടാമന്‍റെ നാടുകടത്തലിന് ശേഷം ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാര്‍ മുഗള് സാമ്രാജ്യത്തെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കി.
