Bihar Police SI Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Bihar Police SI Recruitment is base on their performance in the following stages:

Stage 1 – Prelims Exam

The prelims exam will consist of two subjects namely General Knowledge and Current events. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be given a duration of 2 hours to attempt 200 objective type questions. Only those candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for mains exam.

Stage 2 – Mains

The candidates clearing the prelims exam will appear for the main exam. The main exam will consist of two papers namely Paper I and Paper II. Each paper will consist of 100 questions carrying 2 marks each. Paper I will have General Hindi and Paper II will consist of subjects like General Studies, Mathematics, Civics etc.

Stage 3 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standards Test (PST)

To be selected for the post of Bihar Police SI, candidates need to qualify the PET which consists of events like running, high jump, long jump and shot put. The standards to qualify these events are different for male and female candidates as per the Bihar Police rules. Only those who qualify the PET will be eligible for further selection process, which includes a Document Verification and Medical Examination round.

Bihar Police SI Admit Card 2025

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) will release the Bihar Police SI Admit Card for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in the 2nd week of June 2024. Candidates will be able to download the e-admit card from the official website bpssc.bih.nic.in by entering their registration/roll number and date of birth.
