TS EdCET Eligibility 2025: Age Limit & Education Qualification

The Mahatma Gandhi University will be releasing the TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria details on the official notification PDF. All interested candidates must fulfil the TS EdCET Eligibility criteria to participate in the entrance exam and the admission process. If it is found that they have suppressed any information related to TS EdCET eligibility, then they will be disqualified from the admission process immediately. The Key Highlights are:

• Candidates satisfying all the eligibility requirements and submitting the TS EdCET application form shall be eligible to participate in the TS EdCET 2025 for admission into two years B.Ed course.
• The minimum age of the candidates must be 19 years as of 1st July 2025 to be eligible to appear for the entrance exam.
• Candidates should have passed or appeared for Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned from a recognized institution as a minimum qualification.

TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria is a prerequisite that should be fulfilled by all the candidates. In case the candidates fail to fulfill any or all of the eligibility requirements, then they will not be allowed to participate in the admission process. The various criteria are detailed below:

TS EdCET Age Limit

• The minimum age of the candidates must be 19 years as of 1st July 2025 while applying for the TS EdCET exam.
• There shall be no maximum age limit.

TS EdCET Educational Qualification

The TS EdCET Eligibility for educational criteria should be fulfilled by the candidates before applying for the entrance exam. Candidates should have passed or appeared:

• In any bachelor's Degree i.e. B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Sc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A (Oriental Languages), BBA or in the Master's Degree, securing at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with 50% aggregate marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.
• However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories viz., SC/ST/BC, and other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates should be required to produce a marks memo and pass certificate at the time of Counseling for Admission
• Candidates possessing MBBS/BSC (AG)/ BVSC /BHMT/B.Pharm and other professional and job-oriented degree courses viz., LL.B are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.
• Candidates possessing a Master's Degree without having undertaken Under Graduate study are not eligible for admission.

TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria for Choice of Subject

TS EdCET Nationality

Candidates applying for TS EdCET exam should have Indian Nationality. They should also satisfy “Local” / “Non-Local” status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions

TS EdCET Number of Attempts

The Osmania University, Hyderabad has not released any restrictions regarding the number of attempts for appearing in the TS EdCET exam process. Candidates are allowed to appear as long as they want until they satisfy other eligibility requirements. They are advised to refer to the important TS EdCET Books and other study material to avoid multiple attempts.

TS EdCET Exam 2025 Reservation

Along with the TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria, the candidates should know the reservation rules before applying for the entrance exam. The major points include:

• The admission to 85% of the seats in each methodology shall be reserved for the local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved as specified in Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.
• If a local candidate in respect of a local area is not available to fill any seat reserved or allocated in favor of a local candidate in respect of that local area. In that case. such a seat shall be filled in as if it has been unreserved.
