- The application or registration fee for the SSC CGL CBI Sub-Inspector exam is Rs. 100/- for male candidates belonging to UR and OBC categories.

The applicants must fulfil the following requirements of physical standards in terms of their height, weight, etc.
- Height For men - 165 cm.
- Height For women - 150 cm.
Height relaxable for Hillsmen and Tribals: 5 cm.
- Chest: 76 cm after expansion
(There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)
- Vision: Eye-sight (with or without glasses)
- Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.
- Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in the other eye.

- The SSC CGL Tier I Examination is expected to have 4 sections - Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & English Language
- Each section consists of 25 questions and each question carries 2 marks which makes it a total of 50 marks per section
- The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
- There is a provision for negative marking of 0.50 marks per wrongly answered question.
- The total marks can hence be calculated in the examination as -
