The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for administering the CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test. The Joint CSIR UGC NET exam is offered twice a year for five science subjects, and those who pass are able to apply for Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor positions. The post is based on the CSIR NET Earth Science exam pattern, which consists of three sections: Part A (General Aptitude), Part B, and Part C (Earth Sciences subject matter).

  • Part B and Part C will each have 50 and 80 multiple-choice questions, respectively.
  • The CSIR NET Earth Science syllabus includes essential disciplines like oceanography, geophysics, climatology, mineralogy, geochemistry, hydrogeology, etc.
  • For JRF and Assistant Professor candidates in the CSIR UGC NET Earth Science exam in June 2022, the cutoff scores were 60.29% and 54.261%, respectively.

Being familiar with the characteristics of an exam can help in effective preparation, planning, and executing strategies. Exam question papers often include various types of questions to assess students' factual knowledge, conceptual understanding, and overall comprehension. To prepare, we diligently study our syllabus and practice using different methods. It is crucial to clearly understand the wording of questions, as sometimes students may know the answer but are unable to interpret the question due to language differences. In this article, we will look into the CSIR NET Earth Science Exam Pattern to help you develop a mindset to give the exam.
